Smelly and striped like a sock,
Grampa Skunk
Came to a teeny party,
To sniff some snus,
Just for fun.
The skunk had only one nose,
And sniff he did with all his might,
But after a couple of hours —
He drooped,
Dozed off, lost fight.
Hey kids! Forgive him,
The skunk’s too old
For your wild little games.
Don’t pour him hoppy
Nectar bold
With a label that says "Dark Beer."
What Skunk needs is a glass of water,
Wrap him in a gentle plaid.
Lay him softly on the sofa,
Turn the lights off — make him glad.
Let the old man sleep
To a sassy jazz,
Let him warm up, let him float.
Don’t disturb his midnight pass
Through golden dreams
of honey's note.
